OIS integrates the strategic plan and with the annual plan

As a reminder, an OIS picture really is worth a thousand words.

In a nutshell, the only two differences between strategic and an annual OIS are:

1. the time horizon: (2-4 years) vs. next year.  This obviously means the supply chain can have many more optimization opportunities available since the lead time for supply chain options are much greater at longer planning horizons.

2. the granularity of the model (years vs. months).

Thus, there is one enterprise planning model driving the strategic decisions and the tactical; the two are integrated.  See OIS Application Schema
